There are five key reasons why you should pay the extra price for an on site hotel. Whether your first time to Walt Disney World, or your first time looking at on-site, these are the main tips as to why to stay on site!
1. 60 day fast pass window.

We all have the top rides that we want to go on, and with Disney’s fast pass system, you can book a preferable time when you are there to ride! With any ticket, you can book rides 30 days in advance, but staying on site gives you access to that 60 day fast pass window before your trip, ensuring you get what you want!
2. The Magical Express

Getting from the airport to your resort can be a pain, but Disney have this covered! Complimentary shuttles from Orlando MCO to your resort make getting to and from your hotel quick and easy after a long trip! This is only available to those staying on property!
3. Charging to the room
With each stay, you receive a Magic Band that acts as your room key, your theme park ticket, and your wallet! Just tap at any paypoint to add charges to your room, even when out at the parks!
4. That Disney feel

The theming of every single hotel makes any stay special. Whether the African theming of Animal Kingdom Lodge, to Art of Animation, to the new Mediterranean themed Riviera resort, each has been designed to give your trip a unique feel.
5. Extra Magic hours

Every day, at least one theme park will have an hour or two extra in the mornings or at night, that is exclusively for on site guests to enjoy a less crowded park. This means access to a theme park before anyone else gets in, allowing you to get on your favourite rides first, or late at night when everyone else has gone home.
Should I stay on site at Walt Disney World?
My advice, especially if it is your first trip to Disney and are a fan of Disney, is to stay on site, even if its not your first time. You pay a premium, but there are on site hotels to meet any budget.
