To start off our ‘Special Things to Do’ series, I wanted to share a truly amazing experience we had at Magic Kingdom; Baby’s first haircut package.
You can get your baby’s haircut in Disney World?!
Yes. Not many know about it either; its one of those things that you just have to find out about when you are researching for your trip. But not just babies; children and adults can get their hair cut too in Magic Kingdom at the Harmony Barber Shop.
Where can you get the First Haircut? Where is the Barber Shop?
The Harmony Barber Shop is located on the left as you enter the Magic Kingdom, past City Hall, tucked in between the “car barn” and the Emporium.
How much is the First Haircut package, and what does it include?
The package is set at $25 Plus Tax.
My First Haircut package includes:
- Haircut, no matter how much is chopped off!
- Commemorative Mickey Ears hat (which are adorable)
- Keepsake lock of hair
- Official milestone certificate to frame!
I will also stress, that they are EXCELLENT at keeping the baby entertained and getting the haircut done. They are experts at this, doing dozens a day. Our son was enthralled with a spinny light up toy that took all his attention while he got a few locks chopped off.
What about other children and adults, how much for a haircut at Magic Kingdom?
I actually got my own haircut there at the same time, as I was in desperate need and didn’t have the chance to get it done before I left Ireland, but did know about this when leaving, so on the first day of Magic Kingdom, I got a haircut!

- Adults – Starting at $19 Plus Tax
Know Before You Go
- Making Reservations Advance reservations are recommended. A limited number of walk-in appointments are available on a first-come, first-serve basis each day.
- Hair Water may be sprayed on hair if needed during styling, but no shampooing will be provided. With that in mind, please arrive with clean, dry hair.
- Ages Guests under 17 years of age must be accompanied by an adult (18 years of age or older).
- Gratuity Gratuity is not included and is cash only.
- Cancellation A $10 charge will apply for no-shows or cancellations within one day of your reservation. Your credit card will not be charged before your visit.
- Hours Harmony Barber Shop hours are not affected by Extra Magic Morning hours.
- Stylists All Harmony Barber Shop stylists are state-licensed cosmetologists.
