As you may or may not know, shopdisney.com and shopdisney.co.uk are totally different; managed by different teams, different merchandise, etc. There is a TON more merchandise available on the shopdisney.com website compared to shopdisney.co.uk and you may well see something that you like, but have to get it to Ireland!
Can I buy from shopdisney.com and get it directly shipped to Ireland?
Short answer; no. There is no option to get items posted directly to Ireland from the USA website. You can select Ireland in the list, but it give you an error.

Can I use a forwarding address like AddressPal?

For most things, YES, you can use AddressPal, which is in New Jersey (you need to register online with AddressPal to use it and get your address) and allows you to forward to Ireland.
However, for any electronic items, AP addresses, such as the AddressPal used by An Post, will get flagged before or after you put your order through, and will get cancelled. We know cause we’ve tried a few times, and is specifically flags AP and PO Box addresses as not allowed. This is cause of voltage differences between Ireland USA, and they specifically don’t want to be partly responsible for you burning your house down…
Note if you get it through AddressPal, you will be hit for their delivery charge, plus their import charges and fees. So you either want to be putting in a decent order to justify the postage, OR, just suck it up and pay the €15.99+ delivery fee from An Post. And of course, returns are much more difficult to manage.

So what is the best way to get all items from shopdisney.com to Ireland?
The best suggestion, is to find someone that you can send the items to in the USA, or find a ‘trading buddy’ that will allow you to ship things to their house, and in turn, you would let them ship things to you, and then send them on in normal mail.
It’s a bit pain, with additional delays, but its the only real way of doing it at the moment for absolutely everything and anything in the USA. This is what we’d recommend, and cuts down on fees. But there is also a lot of trust required, and returns need to be handled before they are sent through to Ireland by your USA counterpart.
Is it worth doing all this to get items from shopdisney.com to Ireland?
Well that depends of course on what it is, and how much you want it. Usually, I’m going to say NO. It is not worth it. But you never know; you may see something that you absolutely need to have, and you know won’t be in the UK online store or in store in Ireland. Then yes, its worth it of course to get what you really want.
The altnerative to all this? Get it on eBay.com in USA through a reseller or buy used. It saves a bit of headache, but it’ll probably cost you more. Again, not a best suggestion, but it is an option you can consider.
Whatever you choose to do, best of luck getting your merchandise!
