There are a lot of options for getting to Paris and Disneyland in 2025 from Ireland. My family and I are Dublin based, so our easiest route is definitely flying to one of two of the airports around Paris.
Our biggest preference, by far, is Aer Lingus to Charles DeGaulle Airport (CDG), the main airport of Paris. There are many reasons for this, and the positive of CDG and Aer Lingus.
Positives and Negatives of flying Aer Lingus to Charles DeGaulle for Irish travellers to Disneyland
- Direct flights with Aer Lingus, to Terminal 1 (the fancy terminal) at CDG. This is the international terminal and extremely well equipped, with shops, restaurants, pianos, playstations, and more. The decor is outstanding.
- Easy transfer options – we opt for taxi through ezyshuttle for €75 each way, approximately 45 minute drive. Collect from terminal door and dropped back from our hotel.
- If we were less than 4 people or didn’t have lots of bags, the high speed train takes a whole 9 minutes to get from CDG to Marne-la-Vallée (aka Disneyland Train Station) as it is faster and more cost effective.
- Flight times with Aer Lingus are quite excellent, and lots of options throughout the day. The late flight back is great to get a lot out of your last day (currently 10pm from CDG).

Our second choice would be Air France. However it loses out for a couple of reasons to our own Aer Lingus:
Positives and Negatives of flying to CDG with Air France for Irish travellers to Disneyland
- Still flies to CDG, but to Terminal 2 (Air France’s terminal) which while newer, is nowhere near as nice or interesting!
- I have had more issues with Air France rules around prams/strollers/buggies than with Aer Lingus.
- Generally not cheaper than Aer Lingus, but always good to shop around.
- Still has the benefits of easy transfers of course.
Our third option would be to Orly Airport. Here’s the pro’s and cons:
Positives of Orly Airport to Irish travellers to Disneyland:
- Transavia and Vueling fly to this airport
- Small airport, easy to get through
- Based in south of the city, still quite close to Paris/Disneyland
- About 1 hour drive.
- Magical Shuttle transfer also available.
Negatives of of Orly Airport for Irish travellers to Disneyland:
- Only taxi or bus transfer available from Orly to Disneyland (no train), and not all companies do the transfer – we recommend ksshuttle (fancy Tesla taxis!)for €60 each way (slightly cheaper than CDG)
- Limited amount of flights per day, and baggage is more expensive with Transavia/Vueling
- Have to leave early on last day to get flight back to Ireland no matter what, no late flight back from Orly.
And finally, we have Beauvius, which I don’t really consider an option, but you could?
- Cheap flights with Ryanair – can be considerably less to actually get there.
- However, its REALLY in the middle of nowhere – there is no direct transfer to DLP. You will have to get a taxi, and its 90 minutes each way.
- You can get bus/train into Paris City Centre and then get the train RER-A to Disneyland Paris
Other alternatives you could consider:
- Ferries – Dublin to Cherbourg and drive is a great option for Ferry.
- Fly to London + Eurostar – very possible to get a dual city experience with London and get the Eurostar directly to Disneyland Paris
- Another city in France/Belgium/Netherlands – the high speed train network across Europe is excellent for getting around, giving you plenty of options for getting to DLP and mixing with another city or country visit!
