Disneyland Paris Park has a large number of attractions, rides, and experiences to enjoy on your trip to the Disneyland Paris Resort. Disneyland Park itself (one of two on site) is a large, multi day experience, where a few days will be needed to experience absolutely everything! But what are our top 5 Rides or Attractions to do at the park?
No 5. Mickeys Philharmagic
Only on for a select amount of hours per day, this 3D show gives you some refuge from the many seasons that Disneyland Paris experiences (rain, shine, extreme heat and snow), as well as a unique and fun way to enjoy your time. There are similar versions of this around the world, and a great way to spend your time. Find it at the back of Tomorrowland near to Star Tours.
No 4. It’s A Small World
The great facade and the ear-worm tune is alive and well in Disneyland Paris. It’s a Small World is well developed in Paris, with an exterior set akin to Disneyland in Anaheim (not like Walt Disney Worlds), and wonderful set design and relability. The queue is generally never too long, a few minutes to 10 at most times of the day, and a great way to get off your feet. Find it just past the Fantasy entrace on the right side of the castle (when facing from Main street)
No 3. Hyperspace Mountain
Lets go the other way – a totally unique version of Space Mountain lives in Disneyland Paris! Undoubtedly the most extreme of its name sake, and the most intense rollercoaster on the Disneyland side of Paris, this currently has a Star Wars overlay, but it’s a heck of a steel roller coaster with launch originally inspired by Jules Verne. Find it in Tomorrowland… you can’t miss it!
No 2. Phantom Manor
Speaking of unique – this version of Phantom Manor a.k.a The Haunted Mansion can be found in Frontierland – Yes, Frontierland, and ties the store of the land into its story. This means unique scenes, characters, and experience; plus the building itself is unique as well. A must do for any Haunted Mansion fan.
No 1. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
In my opinion, this is the best version of this ride, bar none. Situated on what is basically ‘Tom Sawyer Island’ in the US parks, this version of the coaster loads on one side of the River of America, goes underneath the water through a tunnel, and has the entire ride on the island itself. Making for a spectacular experience and views of Frontierland, Paris boasts the best version of Big Thunder Mountain in the world. Best hold on to your hats and glasses, cause this is the wildest version in the world!
Special Mention: Alice’s Curious Labyrinth Maze
Yes – a Maze in Disneyland. This elaborate and well crafted walk through attraction bring Alice in Wonderland to life in a literal classic maze. Find the Caterpillar, Cheshire Cat and avoid the Queen! This exists nowhere else but Paris!
