One of the most anticipated highlights of our Disney Dream cruise was our brunch reservation at Palo. Renowned for its exceptional service, exquisite cuisine, and breathtaking ocean views, Palo Brunch is a must-do for many cruisers. We were fortunate enough to secure a booking for two at 12:30 PM on a sea day, and the experience truly exceeded our expectations.
Booking Palo Brunch: A Competitive Process
Securing a reservation at Palo Brunch can be challenging due to its popularity. It’s only offered on sea days, meaning it’s unavailable when the ship is in port. For Irish travelers like us, booking requires a bit of planning and early rising. Depending on your Castaway Club status, you may be able to book earlier, but reservations typically open a few weeks in advance. We had to wake up at 5 AM to ensure we got our spot, and it was well worth the effort.
The Dining Experience: A Feast for the Senses
We started our day with a light breakfast at Cabanas, knowing that we were in for a culinary treat later at Palo. When we arrived, we were immediately struck by the elegant setting. The room is beautifully designed, with stunning ocean views that set the perfect backdrop for the meal. The linen and tableware were immaculate, reflecting the premium experience that Palo is known for.
Our server was exceptional, attentive without being intrusive, and made us feel like the only guests in the room. The service added a personal touch to the experience, making it even more special.

We began our meal with a rich and comforting tomato soup, setting the tone for the incredible dishes that followed. The charcuterie board featured a selection of fine meats and cheeses—each bite was a testament to the quality of the ingredients.
Next came the Eggs Benedict, which were simply outstanding. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the hollandaise sauce was creamy and flavorful, far surpassing the Eggs Benedict served at Cabanas. It’s a dish that’s often simple, but at Palo, it was elevated to new heights.
For the main course, we opted for the Chicken Parmesan and the Veal. The Chicken Parmesan was perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy chicken inside. The veal was equally impressive, tender and flavorful, showcasing the chef’s expertise.
No meal at Palo would be complete without sampling their desserts. We were just about to dive into the sweet offerings when we received a message about our child being upset in the Oceaneers Lab. Our server, understanding the situation, quickly packed up our desserts for us to take back to our room—a thoughtful gesture that we greatly appreciated.

Sitting by the large windows, watching the waves while enjoying a luxurious meal, was a serene and memorable experience.
